How to use FTP on your Mac

  • From your Mac desktop hit Command+K to pull up the “Connect to Serverâ€?window (alternatively, you can access this from the “Goâ€?menu)
  • Enter the address of the server in the following format: ftps://128.125.76.37
  • Optional: If you want to add a bookmark to ‘Favorite Serversâ€?for repeated connections, click on the + icon next to the “Server Addressâ€?field
  • Click on “Connectâ€?and wait to connect to the remote server
  • Enter the FTP username and password, or connect as “Guestâ€?if the server allows guest connections and click on “Connectâ€?again
